Benefits of E-Shram Card

Although there are many benefits of e-shram card scheme which will directly go to the workers of the unorganized sector. If an employee registers on the e-shram portal, he will get 

the benefit of accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh. In this, one-year premium will be given by the government. If a registered employee is a victim of an accident, he will be entitled to Rs 2 lakh in the event of his death or total disability. At the same time, one lakh rupees will be given under the insurance scheme for the partially disabled.

Who can apply for E-Shramik card?

The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment will issue a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) for about 38 crore laborers in the unorganized sector. This step will not only facilitate portability of welfare schemes, but workers will also get the benefit of many beneficial schemes in times of crisis. Let us inform that more than 38 crore unorganized workers from across the country can register on this portal. These include agricultural workers, migrant workers, gig workers, etc.

Keep these points in mind before applying for E-Shramik Card

Before registering on the e-shram portal, some things have to be kept in mind. The details of which are given below.

• The age of the worker should be above 16 and below 60 years.
• The worker does not pay income tax. This means that if the worker is a taxpayer then he is not entitled to register on the portal.
• Even if a worker is a member of EPFO ​​and ESIC, he cannot register on the portal.

• Visit the official page of e-shram portal https://www.eshram.gov.in/.
• Then on the homepage, link on “Registration on e-Shram”.

• After that click on Self Registration https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self.
• On self-registration, the user has to enter his/her Aadhar link mobile number.
• Enter the captcha and select whether they are member of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) or
• Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) option and click on Send OTP.
• After that enter the bank account details etc. to complete the registration process and follow the further process.

E-Shramik Helpline Number: There will be a e-shram portal toll free number to help the workers, apart from construction workers, migrant workers, street vendors and domestic workers are included. He said that after the launch of the portal, workers of the unorganized sector can register themselves from the same day. A national E Shram Portal toll free number 14434 has also been started to help the workers register themselves.
